Manic Mulling Over Mullen Over.

The Mullen Mania is now over. Gainesville.com reports that Dan Mullen will coach the BCS National Championship Game.

It is unclear if Mullen will be calling all the plays, but I assume he is. Indeed, what's his value if not to scheme and call plays? I'm glad that this is resolved though. No one on the Gator staff has mentioned whether Mullen was to coach or was to have the door hit him on the ass on his way to Mississippi State. Meyer only said that Mullen's inclusion will better the Gators' chances of winning. We can now put this, our only, issue finally to rest.

Mullen is leaving, just not yet, so stop crying, Jota, everything is gonna be irie.

I liked the situation better without Mullen.

An Off-Topic Q: You've mentioned it in a couple of your posts, but I don't think it has really been discussed, why is the spread for this game so much lower than the Alabama game? Alabama was arguably a tougher opponent and is a rival of Florida's (any SEC game is tougher because of the historic rivalries). They're both neutral site games (in fact, playing in Miami shoud favor you). And Florida covered the spread in the Alabama game. Granted, Oklahoma appears to have a more explosive offense than Alabama (against weaker defenses), but there's no way their defense stops the gaytor offense.

Before I make any bad decisions, can anyone explain why the 7 point difference (i.e. what Vegas knows that I don't)??

I think it's what you said, their offensive has been so explosive and that is keeping the line now. plus, Oklahoma has some pretty highly rated recruits (tons of 4 and 5 stars). not that Alabama doesn't but OU has more.
